SwM 2022 summer
ASL Virtual "Zoom" Class
SWM’s ISLC is inclusive and open to participants who are interested in learning sign language on a creative platform. Whether you are hearing or Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH); a beginner or advanced signer, you will enjoy this introduction to sign language and learning how to interpret inspirational songs using a combination of sign systems.
The curriculum is designed to promote cultural awareness and prepare students to interact with the DHH community. Our ASL Music Classes are one (1) hour and held once a week for 8-weeks. Each class culminates with a videotaped recording of a group recital performance as the summative assessment. Performances are professionally edited, shared with class participants, and uploaded on our SWM YouTube Channel for promotional purposes.
